This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it and who we share it with. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Please read it together with our Terms and Conditions.
Version 1.0 – Last updated 25 September 2026
1. What we collect
- Contact details: your name, phone number, email address and the address of the job.
- Job details: a description of the work, photos or measurements you send us, access instructions, quotes, invoices and payment records. We do not store card numbers; card payments are handled by our payment provider.
- Communications: emails, text messages, website form submissions and notes from phone calls.
- Website data: cookies and analytics information, as explained in section 6.
2. How we collect it
- Directly from you, when you call, text, email, use our website forms or speak with us on site.
- Our phone line may be answered by an automated assistant that takes your name, number and job details so we can call you back. If a call is recorded, you will be told at the start of the call.
- From someone you have asked to refer you to us, such as a strata manager, real estate agent or another tradesperson.
3. How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and schedule, carry out and invoice the work.
- To send job-related messages by phone, text or email, such as quote follow-ups, appointment reminders, requests for photos, invoices and receipts.
- To ask for feedback or a Google review after a job. You can ignore these or ask us to stop.
- To keep records we are required to keep by law, including tax, licensing and warranty records.
We do not send marketing newsletters unless you have opted in. Any marketing text or email we send includes a way to opt out.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the people and services that help us do the job:
- Suppliers and subcontractors, for example a licensed plumber we refer you to with your agreement.
- Our job-management, quoting, accounting and payment software and their payment providers.
- Our email, text-message and phone providers, and the automation tools that connect them.
- Our website host and analytics providers.
- Insurers, legal advisers or regulators where needed to deal with a claim, dispute or legal requirement.
Some of these providers store data outside Australia. We choose reputable providers that have their own privacy protections. We never sell or rent your personal information.
5. Photos of your job
We may photograph the work area before, during and after the job. We may use those photos on our website, Google Business Profile and social media to show examples of our work. We will not publish your name, street address or anything that identifies you or your property. If you would prefer we did not photograph or publish your job, just tell us at any time and we will not.
6. Website cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies to remember your preferences and to understand how visitors use the site. We use Google Analytics, which collects information such as pages visited, time on site and general location. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies using the cookie banner on our site, change your choice at any time from the cookie settings link, or use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Our site also contains links to our Facebook, Instagram and Google pages, which have their own privacy policies.
7. Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Access is limited to the people who need it to do the job. We keep information for as long as we need it for the purposes above and to meet our legal obligations, typically seven years for financial records and for the length of any warranty period, and then delete or de-identify it.
8. Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to stop using it for a particular purpose, by contacting us using the details below.
